Traction Mode
Traction mode offers special traction tuning for SNOW, DEEP SNOW, MUD or SAND, optimizing available traction in those special conditions. Traction mode optimizes the Traction Control System, Electronic Limited Slip Differential and Electronic Stability Control for best traction in the chosen condition.
To help keep you in control and prevent slippage, you can seamlessly switch between SNOW and DEEP SNOW modes to give you the right amount of driving force in winter conditions.
Traction mode is designed based on 2WD (2-Wheel Drive). Do not drive in conditions that exceed the vehicle’s intended design. For best vehicle performance, it is recommended to use Traction modes only on the corresponding surface. Invalid mode selection can lead to loss of traction and vehicle control. DEEP SNOW is exclusive to KONA N.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection
High Beam Assist
Using the front-mounted camera and light detection technology, High Beam Assist provides an extra level of convenience by automatically switching between high and low beams when traffic is detected ahead.
Lane Following Assist
Using the front-view camera to detect lane markers on the road, this standard feature assists the driver’s steering to help keep the vehicle centred inside the lane.
Lane Keeping Assist
Lane Keeping Assist applies corrective steering assistance to keep you and your KONA N within your lane.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, this standard system not only warns the driver if vehicles are approaching from the side, it can also apply the brakes automatically under certain conditions if no action is taken.

As the engine is turned off, a visual warning in the instrument cluster and audible alert reminds you to check the rear seats before exiting with this standard feature.
Safe Exit Warning
Safe Exit Warning is a driving safety function that provides a warning when a vehicle is approaching from the rear while an occupant is getting out of the vehicle. When a vehicle approaching from behind is detected, this standard feature warns passengers with an audible alert to help prevent them from stepping out onto the road when it is dangerous.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Having the right tire pressure is more than just good for your tires and fuel economy — it’s a safety issue too. The standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) makes safety and driving efficiency a top priority, with sensors for optimal tire functionality and real-time pressure monitoring. The TPMS lets you monitor air pressure levels in each individual tire at all times, warning the driver if pressure drops.
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist – Reverse
The standard Parking Distance Warning — Reverse feature uses sensors embedded into the rear bumper to make parking easier by producing a warning sound for the driver if the rear of the vehicle gets too close to an object. As the vehicle approaches closer to the object, the warning sound will increase in frequency.
