Curious about Canadian EV rebates?
The Government of Canada has brought forward the Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) in Canada.
Under this new program, starting February 16, 2026, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are eligible for up to $5,000 in federal incentives and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) are eligible for up to $2,500, for the year 2026. The program runs until March 31, 2031, or until funding is depleted. For more information from the Government of Canada, read more here.
The following Hyundai vehicles qualify for federal incentives in Canada:
Qualifying vehicles must have a final transaction price of $50,000 or less.
KONA Electric
All 2026 KONA Electric models qualify for federal incentives.

All 2025 IONIQ 6 models qualify for federal incentives.

IONIQ 5
The 2025 IONIQ 5 Preferred Standard Range RWD model qualifies for federal incentives.
TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid
The 2025 TUCSON Ultimate Plug-in Hybrid model qualifies for federal incentives.

Québec
The Roulez vert financial assistance program offered by the Gouvernement du Québec offers a rebate of up to $2,000 for electric vehicles, where the program is scheduled to end December 31, 2026.

Newfoundland and Labrador
The government of Newfoundland and Labrador is offering rebates of up to $2,500 on the purchase or lease of an electric vehicle and $1,500 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle, where the program runs until March 15, 2026, or until program funding is depleted.

Prince Edward Island (PEI)
The government of Prince Edward Island is offering up to $4,000 to Prince Edward Island residents who purchase a new or used EV and $2,000 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Manitoba
The government of Manitoba is offering an electric rebate of up to $4,000 for eligible Manitobans on vehicles with an MRSP of less than $70,000. Incentives for leases are proportional to the length of the lease. The rebate amount is determined at registration with Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) beginning on July 1, 2024. The program is in place until March 31, 2026, or until program funding is depleted.

Yukon
The government of Yukon is offering a rebate of up to $5,000 for EV and plug-in hybrid vehicles with an electric range of 50 km or greater.

Ontario & British Columbia (BC)
As of early 2026, the government of Ontario and the government of British Columbia do not offer provincial-level rebates for electric vehicles (EVs), but federal incentives remain available.
Federal and provincial electric vehicle incentives (each an “Incentive”) each represent a maximum incentive or rebate amount provided by the federal government and applicable provincial and territorial governments (each a “Jurisdiction”) on eligible vehicles. The amount of the Incentive, its terms and conditions, and its eligibility or application varies by Jurisdiction, model and trim level, MSRP, final transaction value as calculated in accordance with the applicable Jurisdiction’s regulations, and any other criteria that may be established by each Jurisdiction. The Incentive is applied after applicable taxes in each Jurisdiction. The Incentive programs are administered independently by each Jurisdiction and are subject to cancellation or change.
