Under the Government of Canada's EVAP program, certain Electric Vehicles (EVs) are eligible for up to $5,000 in federal incentives and certain Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) are eligible for up to $2,500 in federal incentives, for the year 2026.

All 2026 KONA Electric models may qualify for up to $8,000 in incentives:

 

  • 2026 KONA Electric Preferred
  • 2026 KONA Electric Preferred with Trend package

IONIQ 6

 

All 2025 IONIQ 6 models may qualify for up to $20,000 in incentives:

 

  • 2025 IONIQ 6 Preferred Long Range RWD
  • 2025 IONIQ 6 Preferred Long Range AWD
  • 2025 IONIQ 6 Preferred Long Range AWD with Ultimate package  

TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid

 

May qualify for up to $6,500 in incentives:

Which provinces offer additional EV rebates? 

Québec

The Roulez vert financial assistance program offered by the Gouvernement du Québec offers a rebate of up to $2,000 for electric vehicles and up to $500 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle (8 to less than 15 kWh), for vehicles registered in 2026, where the program is scheduled to end December 31, 2026.

Prince Edward Island (PEI)

The government of Prince Edward Island is offering up to $4,000 to Prince Edward Island residents who purchase a new or used EV and $2,000 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Ontario, Manitoba, Yukon, Newfoundland and Labrador & British Columbia (BC)

As of early 2026, the governments of Ontario, Manitoba, Yukon, Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia do not offer provincial-level rebates for electric vehicles (EVs), but federal incentives remain available.
